Rapala Classic Countdown Spinning Rod

The latest rod building technology packed in a classy design: With the Classic CountDown Rapala has developed a finesse spinning rod of the extra class, which is not only visually an absolute eye-catcher, but has also convinced us on a technical level in its entirety. The fast, high-modulous VTX45 blank has an incredible transmission and passes on the finest contacts into the handpiece. The special blank construction provides a high degree of power at a low weight. The tip is sensitive, lure movements can be perfectly tracked and bites directly detected. In the lower part of the blank, on the other hand, there is enough backbone to confidently put even larger fish in their place. A great rod for many different uses in fresh and saltwater, with crankbaits, jigs or all conceivable finesse rigs.

The rod is equipped with a high-quality, two-piece cork handle that fits wonderfully in the hand. Embedded in it: a classic, polished aluminum reel seat with great real wood inlay. For a perfect line run, the Fuji Alconite Classic guides provide an excellent complement to the beige blank. Rapala have spared no effort and put a lot of love into the details: all guide wrappings, all varnishes sit just perfect.

In short: A great balanced predator rod for many applications, which is not only technically fully convincing, but also visually fun. After all, the eye fishes along.
